Privacy Policy

This site is built with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. Here's what we collect and why, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

What we collect

  • Browsing the site: nothing on our servers. Every page except the e-book checkout flow below is static, with no database and no server-side session — there is nothing to collect, because there is nowhere to store it.
  • Theme and like preferences — stored only in your browser's local storage (dark/light mode, which posts you've liked). This never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
  • Buying an e-book. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. To fulfil your order and email you the download link, we store your email address, which e-book/tier you bought, the amount charged, and Stripe's own transaction reference. This is used only to deliver your purchase and handle refunds; it's never used for marketing and never shared beyond Stripe and our email-delivery provider (Resend), both acting only on our instructions.
  • Standard hosting logs — your hosting provider may keep basic access logs (request path, response status, timestamp) for operational purposes, subject to their own retention policy.
  • Site analytics. We use Matomo, a self-hosted analytics tool (analytics.gracesoft.dev), to see which pages get visited and how people find the site. Matomo runs on our own server — not a third party's — so this data is never shared with, sold to, or used by an outside company. It records things like page views, referring sites, and approximate device/location info; it does not identify you personally.

What we don't do

  • No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel) — our analytics are self-hosted, and that data never leaves our own server.
  • No advertising cookies.
  • No selling of any data to third parties, and no sharing beyond what's needed to process a purchase (Stripe for payment, Resend for the receipt email).
  • No account system, so there is no personal profile to breach.
  • No marketing use of your email address — it's stored only to fulfil the order you placed.

Essential cookies

The theme toggle and like button described above use your browser's local storage, which is not sent with requests and is not a cookie in the tracking sense. Our self-hosted Matomo analytics may set a first-party cookie to distinguish visits; it is not used for advertising and is never shared with third parties.
